• the art of Pamela Berger •
Painting is a solitary activity and meditative in nature. It unlocks the subconscious, opens the mind and beckons the artist into timeless, moment by moment awareness. The most important thing about this zen of painting for me is the process--the doing--not the product or display. Yet what you, the viewer, sees on my website, is the product, the display of my artistic doing. Hopefully, you will enjoy the trace of my painting process and see into my experience of picking up a sturdy brush, mixing up complex colors, and applying paint strokes on canvas to create a new expression of a traditional composition.
Being in the moment, making intuitive decisions, and creating something lovely, is the adventure and fun of art. It is a way to understand the subject and myself in a known and unknown ways. My paintings reflect my visions, experiences, dreams, inspirations, and vulnerabilities.
